Unique hotel in magic location

We've been at Lauvitel Lodge four times already and are going back later this summer. We stay a bit longer every time we go because we like it so much. It has it all! It's a very nice house with a communal dining room with fire place, a big garden to relax, great food, a fantastic location in the middle of nature and unparalleled hospitality!

So much more than a B&B! Fantastic accommodation, really friendly, great for cyclists!

Lauvitel is a beautiful haven nestled in the Alps, surrounded by mountains. I stayed there for 4 nights in Sept 2016 with a group of cyclists. The welcome was friendly, we were incredibly well looked after during our stay and the food was superb.

It was really a healing experience after a very tiring year of working

The room was very nice and the meals were excellent! We enjoyed every minute of our stay there, we were happy to be able to stay two days longer than we booked.

Beautiful, peaceful place with a good feeling all round

My husband and I stayed at Lauvitel Lodge for 4 nights whilst on a road cycling holiday. It really is a secret gem nestled amongst the mountains. Caroline and her team Kim and Rik made us feel very welcome. In particular Caroline spent time with us pouring over maps of the area, and was able to suggest some brilliant cycling, which without that local knowledge we would never have found. Yes we knew the obvious climbs of Les Deux Alpes and Alp d'Huez, but believe me there are plenty of better rides in the locality.

The accommodation is great, we had a lovely double room with en suite facilities. The food is truly 1st class - 5* cuisine every time!

The atmosphere of the Lodge is very unique-we genuinely felt relaxed and comfortable, so much so my husband took part in Tai Chi every morning on the decking in the garden next to a stream! It was a magical experience he said!!
