Accommodation
At Lauvitel Lodge we are able to cater for groups of up to 26 cyclists, with a good mix of rooms, each with its own style and magnificent mountain views. We have a large, secure, fully equipped garage to look after your bikes; in addition to a plunge pool, stretch deck, and in-house massage service to look after your bodies. Our food is aimed at giving you the energy you need for those mountain climbs on the bike, as well as being totally delicious and something to Facebook home about.
Sportives
While we are open all year round, our accommodation is busiest during the main sportives in the area; Alpe d’HuZes, La Marmotte, Les Deux Alpes & La Vaujany. Of course, we also see a lot of cyclists coming to stay during Criterium du Dauphine and the Tour De France. Other popular times for cyclists are June and September, when the weather is a little cooler, the roads quieter and the mountains particularly beautiful for cycling.
Why Choose Us?
When you take on the mythical rides of the Oisans valley you need to know that you and your bike are going to be well cared for. We specialise in cycling holidays and many cyclists come back year after year because they enjoy the amazing rides in the immediate vicinity and the incredibly relaxed atmosphere of the Lodge. Will you become a regular?
Bring your partner or the family
We are a great venue for ‘mixed’ (cyclists and non-cyclists) groups or couples! We have beautiful gardens to relax and play in, and extraordinary walks to enjoy, including the beautiful walk to a natural high altitude lake high above the Lodge. There are also in-house well-being services including T’ai Chi, yoga and massage, and we can offer good advice about the many other activities in the area.

The Oisans valley is rapidly becoming the mecca for Alpine Cycling. This is not surprising when you consider the sustained switch-back climbs making their way up from the forested valley floor to the high mountain resorts; the extraordinary number of mountain roads weaving their way up the valleys and traversing across mountain sides; and, perhaps best of all, the extraordinary number of mountain cols with their stunning views. All within easy reach of a single location.
