You will wake to the soft sounds of running water and bird song or the gentle laughter from those doing morning practice. The property has a total of 10 bedrooms so that you are able to select what suits you best, with 4 bedrooms with ensuite luxury bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with private shower and 4 bedrooms with shared facilities. And for those planning a group retreat, the Lodge accommodates between 6 and 24 people.
In the Gardens of the Lodge, you will be able to take full advantage of the tended gardens for eating outside, an open lawn for group activities or playing games, the stretch deck for yoga or t’ai chi, an Abbingdon labyrinth for liberating old ideas, table tennis for those with a competitive spirit and a fresh water plunge pool for those with a desire to be seriously refreshed. And when there is free time, you can rest in the hammock, sit by the fountain, enjoy a cool drink in the shade of the lime trees, retreat to the private garden or simply relax on the front terrace and soak in the extraordinary scenery that surrounds the Lodge, with its ever-changing light and colours.
Beyond the Lodge, you can explore the small, picturesque hamlet of La Danchere, surrounded by alpine meadows, running waters, deep forests and high mountain peaks. You will find ample choice of experiences available to you right on your doorstep. This may be simply wandering gently in the meadows, walking along the rivers or following the forest trails. Or you may want to try something more challenging, living out on the edge of your comfort zone: hiking up to Lauvitel Lake, white water rafting on the Veneon river, climbing the via ferrata at Saint Christophe-en-Oisans or paragliding from the ridges of Les 2 Alpes.
