– Experience peace of mind and give yourself an energy boost –
The Stillness in Action Spring Retreat gives you the opportunity to reconnect with yourself and channel the spring energy into your life; healing old wounds and invigorating new projects.
What’s on the Programme?
This 5-day Retreat takes advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings of the French Alps. The activities are structured around the 5 natural elements enhancing your ability to absorb and use their distinctive energies.
Each day will be dedicated to exploring one of the following themes;
- The Elements of Earth and Sky: Being grounded, connected and centered.
- The Element of Air: Transforming duality into unity.
- The Element of Water: Living in the unknown.
- The Element of Wood: Finding your voice and creating from there.
- The Element of Fire: Passionately engaging in action.
Throughout the Retreat we will:
- learn the traditional Japanese art of Reiki, including the Reiki I attunement
- use T’ai-Chi and Chi Kung moving meditation to assist you in finding your inner balance
- enjoy the exceptional natural surroundings of Lauvitel Lodge, including walks to mountain lakes, rich forests, over granite boulder fields, along cool running rivers, and in alpine meadows.
How will you benefit?
This Retreat will leave you feeling more peaceful, lighter in spirit and empowered to act. You will take away simple meditation and Reiki practices that will help you stay balanced and positive far beyond your trip to the Alps.
The Stillness in Action Spring Retreat is designed to help you restore your mind-body connection, attune you to the rhythm of the natural universe, and support you in living a richer and more meaningful life.
In June 2016, I discovered Lauvitel Lodge during a Reiki retreat. This was an amazing experience: Tai chi, chi gong, meditation, hiking, initiation to Reiki, amazing food, super comfortable room, great views, peaceful garden and most of all extraordinary people running the place. I have travelled all over the world and this is one of my top 5 best places on earth. I’ve come back a different person. Thanks, Caroline, for having given me more faith in myself. I’ll never forget that first stay (of many to come) at Lauvitel Lodge.”

For those who like to know more…
Each day will start with a morning practice on the deck. This will include Moving Meditation and T’ai Chi King practices to introduce the day’s theme.
Following breakfast, the morning session will focus on learning about Reiki. We will gradually introduce practices such as the Reiki Scan, the Reiki Boost, Auto-Reiki for yourself and giving Reiki to others.
The afternoons will be a time for walks, taking advantage of the extraordinary natural surroundings of La Danchere. The possibilities are numerous and include the Lake Walk, the Forest Walk, the River Walk, the Meadow Walk or a trip to Venosc, Saint Christophe or La Bérarde. All hikes can be adapted according to your fitness and preferences.
The evenings will provide the opportunity for meditation practices and visualizations that accompany Reiki training.
The program, although rich in activities, also leaves free time for yourself. This is when you can walk, exercise, read a book, journal or simply spend time with others in the garden. You may also book a massage with Katie or an additional private Reiki, T’ai Chi or personal coaching session with Caroline.
