Skiing and Boarding in Les Deux Alpes

Les Deux Alpes
From the tranquillity of Venosc, the telecabine transports you directly to the heart of Deux Alpes where you have access to the lower slopes of the Vallee Blanche, the beginner’s pistes close to the resort and the brand new Diablo lift which takes you up to Les Cretes, Toura  and the high altitude Glacier skiing

Beginners Skiing
For Beginners this is the perfect resort.  There are 7 free lifts on the lower slopes and also a variety of blue and green runs throughout the resort.  This means that you can enjoy the sensational views of La Meije, Mont Blanc and Mont Ventoux, as well as the good snow conditions at high altitudes.  Should you be up for the challenge by the end of the week, there is an 8 km descent from the glacier all the way back to the resort on a mixture of blues and greens.

Intermediate Skiing
Intermediate skiers will enjoy the extensive blue and red pistes, from the wide open evenness of the Glacier runs, to the expansive wilderness of La Fée and the challenges of the Easy Snow Park, specifically designed for intermediate skiers.  And when you are up for the challenge, there are a variety of black runs to test out your new found skiing abilities.

Advanced / Expert Skiing
Experts – have the best of all worlds.  There are challenging black runs, even on the slopes near the resort.  There is probably one of the best snow parks in Europe with two boarder-cross courses, a big terrain-park where there are several innovative features such as ledges, gullies and canyons, and an extremely well maintained half-pipe.   And then there is the off-piste.  There are ample options within the resort itself and you can also take advantage of direct access to La Grave.  This extensive mountain terrain is the reserve of guided groups and those confident enough to navigate ‘itineraire’ routes by themselves.  There really is no other place like it.

Easter Skiing
Easter Skiing in Les Deux Alpes – Les Deux Alpes is one of the highest ski areas in the world;  it has over 200 snow canons covering 47 hectares and 205 km of snow sure ski slopes.  In other words, even for early or late season skiing, you will find good snow conditions for all standards.   Les Deux Alpes has one of the best snow records for Easter skiing and Lauvitel Lodge offers the added advantage of coming down each day from the white, snow clad summits, to the surreal smells and sounds of spring in the mountains with its running streams, green meadows and woodland paths.

Le Ski Randonnée et la Raquette

Snow Shoeing
